TECHNICAL DATA

As part of the expanding Focus RS product range, AIRTEC Motorsport launches the Stage 3 intercooler upgrade suitable for track or street use.

To ensure there is no noticeable loss of performance during long periods of hard driving, the Stage 1 Focus RS intercooler has been modified to fit the ST bumper and Pro Hoses 2.5?, intercooler to the intake manifold and Pro Hoses intercooler to the ST charge pipe have been added.

The solution to increase the size and performance of the intercooler, within the constraints of the limited space behind the bumper, is based on a 60mm core which is twice as tall and almost 100mm longer than the standard item. This offers a massive increase in overall capacity compared to the original intercooler, as well as a 127% increase in frontal area compared to standard, allowing it to make the most of the airflow provided.

Together with high-flow end tanks and air diverter scoop to ensure flow is directed correctly and efficiently, the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler offers much greater efficiency and volume than standard.

Matched with 2.5"" hard boost hose upgrade that replaces the 2"" OEM hoses.

The increase in diameter reduces restriction and improves flow, which in turn sees an instant increase in power, as seen during back-to-back dyno testing which saw a huge torque gain of 11.8 HP simply by fitting the new lines.

Note: Tubing available only in Pro-Series Black

Important note: the pre-facelift ST has a different radiator than the facelift and RS, this makes the left cold side silicone hose very tight against the radiator support. It is recommended to remove the bolt from the radiator support by prying the support to the right and re-drilling a new hole and then replacing the bolt. It""s very simple and easy to do and is needed to give you extra room for the larger 2.5"" cold side hose.
