Description AIRTEC Motorsport Oil Cooler Kit for Honda Civic FK8 Type R As part of our expanding Honda Civic FK8 Type R product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch our oil cooler kit suitable for track or fast road use. Our kit has been designed in the UK following extensive research and huge experience developing upgraded oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars. With limited space, the challenge with this kit was to integrate a large-capacity external oil cooler behind the bumper where it could still benefit from direct airflow, integrating seamlessly with the car""s existing fixtures and fittings without the need for drilling or cutting. As a result, we have developed a kit that is fully reversible if necessary. The complete package includes a proven 13-row AIRTEC oil cooler, a custom laser-cut and powder-coated AIRTEC bracket, high-quality braided hoses with Aerotec fittings, and all hardware, including instructions, for a simple bolt-on installation. To ensure the maximum amount of airflow, we recommend removing the nearby side fog light and/or installing the outlet air intake supplied in the kit into the wheel arch liner to provide better flow. However, these are not essential and the oil cooler will still work fine using the original bumper intake slots. TRACK TESTED Following an extensive development process, our oil cooler has been tried, tested and registered on the road and track. Our comprehensive testing highlighted the oil cooler""s ability to withstand long periods of heavy use, as seen by the consistently low oil temperature results compared to standard. Its increased cooling efficiency and ease of fitment make it an essential modification for all modified FK8 Type R models.
