AIRTEC Motorsport Stage 3 100mm Core Gobstopper Intercooler Upgrade for Astra VXR Mk5

As part of the expanding VXR product range, AIRTEC Motorsport launches the Gobstopper intercooler upgrade suitable for track or street use.

To ensure there is no noticeable loss of performance during long periods of hard driving, a larger, smoother intercooler has been developed as a direct replacement for the smaller, more restrictive OEM item.

The solution to increase the size and performance of the intercooler, within the constraints of the limited space behind the bumper, is based on a wide and short core with a huge depth of 100 mm. This offers a massive increase in overall capacity compared to the original intercooler, as well as a noticeable increase in frontal area compared to the standard, which allows it to make the most of the airflow provided.

Intercooler outlets increase to 70mm in diameter to further improve flow, and the full-depth air intake helps direct air to the core.

Together with high-flow molded one-piece cast end tanks, and an internal air diverter to ensure flow is directed correctly and efficiently, the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler offers much greater efficiency and volume than standard.
