As part of our expanding BMW product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch the upgrade of our induction kit for the BMW G87 M2, G80 M3 and G82 M4 models, suitable for track or fast road use.

Developed in-house at AIRTEC""s UK headquarters, we have created a complete solution to enhance the original air intake system to allow greater flow while maintaining low intake temperatures, thus improving response, sound and aesthetics within the engine bay.

Having previously designed a number of closed induction kits for other performance models, we were eager to develop an intake package for the G8x series to offer significant improvements over the standard and compared to other kits on the market.

We started with a 3D scan of the engine compartment so we could use a CAD program to calculate the most efficient use of space with perfect fitment.

As a result, we chose to use the original BMW air box bases with enlarged two-piece laser-cut covers. This increases the capacity of the air boxes to allow the fitting of 80mm cone air filters, whilst maintaining the original front air supply which ensures a constant flow of fresh air into the air box.

The lids are equipped with vents to facilitate the flow of air by allowing it to pass through the filter and then out. Our team of perfectionist design engineers also ensured that the two air box covers sat perfectly parallel to the strut mount for a balanced aesthetic within the engine compartment.

The right hand intake pipe retains the original fittings but features an unbroken 80mm diameter to ensure minimal restriction up to the turbo, while the connectors are CNC machined and allow the use of the original O-rings and tension clips. The use of the original bases of the air box also allows you to maintain the original rubber supports, reducing vibrations.

The result is more power, better throttle response, greater induction noise and a nicer appearance of the engine compartment.

The kit is a direct replacement requiring no further drilling or cutting to fit and comes complete with all correct fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed installation instructions.
