Designed and improved
To build a TTE500 G16E-GTS, you change the original cast compressor wheel, use a much larger and more efficient billet wheel, and mill the compressor cover until there is an optimal gap to fit the new profile of the compressor. Replaced the original exhaust turbine wheel and CNC milled the turbine housing to install a larger, lighter 9 BLADE TTE exhaust turbine. Also replaced the original thrust bearing for the in-house made 360 degree TTE upgrade.
The 9-blade TTE exhaust turbine designed by TheTurboEngineers. The advantages are a larger diameter and fewer blades for greater gas flow, reducing back pressure and lowering exhaust gas temperatures, allowing for higher and safer boost levels. This turbine is extremely light in mass, so it offers a low moment of inertia, which means fast wind-up for power potential.
Balance
Precise balancing of turbochargers is a key factor in becoming a TTE upgrade unit, as longevity and performance are key. Good balance also improves acoustics. Subsequently, great attention is paid to all TTE turbochargers to achieve the high balance standards. First the parts are balanced at low speed up to 2800 RPM in multiple planes using the single parts machine, then the components are assembled and the CHRA is dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using the VSR system to acquire maximum balance, to a standard much higher than the OEM. Each turbocharger comes with the serial numbered balance test results document.
