FMINTAS1 – Product Description

The Audi S1 packs the Golf GTI's big 2.0 TSI engine into a small chassis, so some things are bound to be compromised and unfortunately Audi have decided to settle for an intercooler that's about a quarter of the size of the one found on the Golf! On a remapped car this easily pushed intake temperatures above 80°C.

The space available to go with a larger core is very limited, but by using a unique stepped core (we were the first aftermarket intercooler manufacturer to make a stepped core way back in 2006) and our custom cast end tanks, we've been able to deliver an intercooler that performs excellently compared to stock. We've recorded a 30°C+ drop in inlet temperature, giving a power increase of 10BHP without any other modifications. On a cool day the increase would be even greater.

This intercooler is available in our exclusive stealth black finish for an OEM look.
