AIRTEC Motorsport launches intercooler upgrade for BMW 1 and 3 series suitable for track or fast road use.

A larger, smoother intercooler that directly replaces the smaller, more restrictive OEM item.

The solution to increase the size and performance of the intercooler, within the constraints of the limited space behind the bumper, is based on a wider and taller core with a huge depth of 150 mm. This offers a massive 94% increase in overall capacity compared to the original intercooler, as well as a significant increase in frontal area compared to standard, allowing it to make the most of the airflow provided.

Together with high-flow molded one-piece cast end tanks to ensure air is directed correctly and efficiently, the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler offers much greater efficiency and volume than standard.

Available in a high-quality black powder-coated finish, the kit comes complete with all accessories, plus detailed assembly instructions.

Its proven increase in cooling efficiency makes it an essential modification for modified Series 1 and 3 models.

This intercooler replaces BMW part number 17517524916 and is suitable for all models with matching 62mm inlet and outlets.

PLEASE NOTE: Later 120d and 320d models have 70mm inlet and outlets and require the AIRTEC Motorsport intercooler upgrade for BMW E9x 325d/330d/335d (E series) – AIRTEC Motorsport
