The challenge
The car""s original intake is a complex set up featuring a single shared air box mounted within the V-formation of the engine and receiving fresh air via feeds from the front grille. The intake pipes then feed towards the front of the car and into the turbo intakes. This routing creates various restrictions along the route as the tubes are not straight and pinch in places.

The solution
Developed in-house at AIRTEC""s UK headquarters, we have created a complete solution to enhance the car""s original air intake system, allowing for greater flow, which improves throttle response, as well as induction sound and aesthetics within the engine bay.

With huge 90mm free flowing cotton air filters in place of the single restrictive air box, the car""s original air supplies are still used but work with our aluminum air guides to protect and direct airflow to the filters. The kit also includes two replacement aluminum intake tubes measuring 90mm continuous with no internal restrictions or pinch points. They are also mirrored for a perfect fit and appearance.

Finished in a high quality black powder coat, the kit is a direct replacement requiring no further drilling or cutting to install and comes complete with all correct fixings and accessories, as well as detailed instructions.

Please note: As these cars age, excessive engine movement may occur due to wear of the engine mounts. As a result, some cars may experience slight clearance issues due to the much larger piping, but this will not affect performance.
