Presenting the perfect addition to our F90 M5 intake system to optimize the flow path to the turbos. Our carbon intakes have a larger volume than stock intakes while maintaining a larger diameter up to the turbos. The stock inlets narrow immediately after connecting to the intake, which creates a restriction especially at higher boost levels. We alleviated this restriction and also designed the curvature to be as smooth as possible, allowing the turbos to reach peak boost sooner.
During development we also tested outlets with larger openings and redesigned the outlet to have an oversized connection to the outlets. However, tests showed no further benefit and so we proceeded with this version, which allows us to use our current grip without any modifications producing the best improvements in performance.
The intake was road tested using Dragy to record acceleration from 60-130mph. The tests were carried out on the same stretch of road and on the same day to keep variables to a minimum. The results show that with the addition of grips alone, acceleration times from 60-130 mph are reduced by 0.12 seconds, which represents a significant improvement at those speeds.

The Eventuri F90 M5 inlets are made from high-temperature prepreg carbon fiber and are assembled with a number of other components designed to serve a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.

CNC machined turbo flanges
CNC machined relief valve assembly
DEVELOPMENT
During development we designed 2 versions for comparison. One set for use with our current intake as well as the stock airboxes and another set with larger ports for use with an oversized intake system. Both designs were prototyped and tested on high-powered F90 M5s. The results showed that the gains between the two sets were the same and so we moved forward with inputs that could also be used with our current intake system. The diagram shows the 2 projects that have been developed.
COMPARIONS
Performance improvements are achieved by providing turbochargers with a less resistive flow path which allows them to reach peak boost earlier in the rpm range. Comparing the stock inputs, the differences are evident. Where stock tubes narrow immediately after connecting to the intakes, our tubes maintain a larger diameter and the reduction to stock turbos is achieved with an internal radius on the machined flanges. This allows for a larger volume while maintaining a smooth flow path. One of the drawbacks to the oversized intakes was that they more aggressively downsized to fit stock turbos, which created some flow constraints.
