TTE1XX VAG 1.0TSI TURBOCHARGER UPDATE

TTE1XX is the performance upgrade hybrid turbocharger based on the original BorgWarner turbocharger for the VAG 1.0TSI 115PS found in the UP GTI and others in the VAG range. The TTE1XX offers good coil, response and power.

Designed and improved

To build a TTE1XX they changed the stock compressor, used a much larger and more efficient 6+6 billet wheel with extended tip technology, and milled the compressor cover to the optimum clearance to fit the new profile of the compressor. The original turbine is replaced and the turbine housing is CNC milled to install a larger 10-blade turbine for increased gas flow.

The advantages are greater gas flow, reduced back pressure and lower exhaust gas temperatures, allowing for higher and safer boost levels.

Also replaced the original thrust bearing for the in-house made 360 ​​degree TTE upgrade.

Balance

Precise balancing of turbochargers is a key factor in becoming a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are key. Good balance also improves acoustics. Subsequently, great attention is paid to all TTE turbochargers to achieve the high balancing standards. First the parts are balanced at low speed up to 2800 RPM in multiple planes using the single parts machine, then the components are assembled and the CHRA is dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using the VSR system to acquire maximum balance, to a standard much higher than the OEM. Each turbocharger comes with a serial numbered balance test results document.
