TTE IS38RACE IHI Turbocharger
Many of our customers have asked for an IS38 motorsport turbocharger, here it is!
TTE IS38Race Turbocharger is based on the Original Genuine IHI IS38 turbocharger for the EA888.3 2.0TSI VAG engine, not a cheap aftermarket clone IS38 turbo that is now available.
An Ace TTE IS38R hasa TTE upgrade performance bearing package and a motorsport-balanced TTE core using the IHI bearing housing and IHI IS38 turbine and the original IHI IS38 compressor wheel, offering reliable performance at higher boost levels as used in Stage 1 and 2 software calibrations by all software vendors. This is a direct swap from a standard IS38, so no special remapping or calibration is required compared to the standard is38 software.
Precise balancing of the IS38R ace turbocharger is a critical factor in becoming a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Subsequently great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieve our balance standards. The first parts are balanced at low speeds up to 2800 RPM in multiple planes using our single parts scale, then the components are assembled and then the CHRA is dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in house VSR machine to capture the final balance, to a standard much higher than the OEM. A balance report document is provided with the Ace TTE IS38Rfor reassurance.
