At the beginning of the development process of this product we spent a lot of time thinking about what would be the best way to build a Y-pipe and here is the result of our conclusions and the development process! Our tube has both excellent load-bearing capacity and low weight, which is achieved by composing lightweight mandrel-bent tubes with a high-quality 3D free-form designed cast joint between them. We then welded CNC machined connections for exhaust and vent pipes onto the cast part. This construction adds a lot of performance but just a hint of extra weight. do88 Performance Y-tube weight 1.52 kg (3.35 lb) OEM plastic tube weight 1.38 kg (3.04 lb) and competitor Performance cast tube weight 2.76 kg (6.08 lb)!

The tubes are then finished with a high quality powder coating that makes them look as good as they perform! You can choose between the most discreet semi-gloss black and a cool silver metallic finish.

The kit also includes 2 high quality custom silicone hoses available in two different versions. The version you need depends on whether you will be installing the Y-pipe together with OEM intercoolers or do88 performance intercoolers. You can choose the tubes in the drop-down list above.

When it comes to airflow performance, our Y-tube far outperforms the OEM Y-tube with 62% increased flow at the same pressure drop!

Please note that OEM parts were designed for the power level the car was originally built for. An increase in horsepower can cause your stock Y-pipe to slow down the power of your engine. So, even on an engine with a software tune, the do88 performance Y-pipe will give a performance increase over the OEM Y-pipe!
