Description

The V1 series coilovers use a large 44mm diameter piston in a 50mm diameter shock body to maximize oil capacity. When the shock absorber unit is operating, the oil in it heats up. The viscosity of the oil changes as its temperature varies, which can lead to changes in the damping characteristics of the unit.

BC Racing uses only the highest quality oil with its coilovers, but goes that extra step to maximize performance and builds its V1 range with a large 50mm diameter shock body. This increases the capacity of the unit which increases the volume of oil contained which in turn reduces the peak temperature and therefore significantly improves the performance of the shock absorber.
