This turbocharger is neither a hybrid nor an enhanced turbocharger. Its components are made of the highest quality and most durable materials. These support the extreme performance for which the Powermax turbocharger was designed. In addition to the compressor housing specially made for this turbocharger, a high-strength stainless steel exhaust housing with increased exhaust gas flow rate is used. This was specially produced by Garrett in high quality. With this turbocharger, a power of up to 450 HP is possible and therefore maximum driving pleasure.

The latest development in the Garrett POWERMAX Performance family. This Stage 1 turbocharger is used to increase the performance of the well-known Volkswagen EA888 GEN4 engine series. The POWERMAX turbochargers are completely newly developed turbochargers and produce 32 percent more flow than the standard turbocharger in the Golf 8 GTI. The main feature here, in addition to the Garrett GT2260S central body, is the new generation of compressor housing prepared to accommodate an optional speed sensor and the milled compressor wheels with improved aerodynamics and increased pressure ratio.
